Florence University of the Arts (FUA), located in Florence, Italy, was founded to promote and renew the creative disciplines by going beyond the classroom and integrating students into the multicultural societies and creative presences in Florence. FUA students learn to deeply understand the principles of the past and how they are present in today's context and transform learning, knowledge and cultural experiences into instruments that shape tomorrow's future. Florence's Historic Centre is named one of UNESCO's World Heritage sites for its extraordinary Renaissance architecture and art galleries.

Footwear and Accessories Design majors planning on studying at FUA during their 6th semester, please contact your Study Abroad Program coordinator. These are the pre-approved courses for your major and related-area courses. You will be able to select from a short list of liberal arts courses to round out your schedule. The completed and signed form must be returned to the OIP (Room B119) or emailed to your OIP coordinator.

Interior Design majors planning on studying at FUA during their 6th semester, please print and complete this Study Abroad Course Plan. These are the pre-approved courses for your major and related-area courses. You will be able to select from a short list of liberal arts courses to round out your schedule. Please start with having your Liberal Arts courses approved by the Dean of Liberal Arts, Patrick Knisley (patrick_knisley@fitnyc.edu). Once this is completed, make an appointment with your Department Chair, Prof. Carmita Sanchezfong (carmita_sanchezfong@fitnyc.edu) to review and approve your major area courses and the SA course plan as a whole. The completed and signed form must be returned to the OIP (Room B119) or emailed to your OIP coordinator.

Most students will be required to apply for a Study Visa for the duration of their stay in Italy. Students are encouraged to carefully review the Italian Study Visa requirements. Supporting documentation will be provided after approval.
